VASFAA needs you to volunteer!

VASFAA is an all volunteer organization and we are always welcoming new volunteers. Did you know many committee and board responsibilities, including meetings, are handled at your own desk? Contributions large and small benefit the membership. All members are encouraged to volunteer – no experience is necessary!

Volunteers…

Network with other financial aid professionals
Learn from or mentor other individuals
Serve students across the Commonwealth of Virginia
Stay informed and educated about ever-changing rules and regulations
Gain experience and insight into the world of financial aid
Feel a sense of pride and purpose in this profession
Help VASFAA achieve its mission

OB3: Adjusted Loan Amounts for Less Than Full Time Annual Enrollment

Don't call it loan proration. That still exists. But there is a new wrinkle being introduced as part of OB3 coming this Fall -- adjustments to Direct loan amounts for annualized less that full time enrollment. This is a new paradigm, and there is complexity here. Come join us as we take a look at some examples, and review the proposed rules (as best we know them now).
